Falcon Radio is an internet radio streaming platform operated by Falcon, a Sri Lanka-based media and education company. This Content & Copyright Policy governs all audio content broadcast through the Falcon Radio platform, including music, spoken word, sound effects, jingles, and any other audio material.
The purpose of this policy is to ensure that all content broadcast on Falcon Radio complies with applicable copyright law, respects the intellectual property rights of original creators, and maintains a safe, lawful, and high-quality listening environment for all users.
By using Falcon Radio as a broadcaster or listener, you agree to the terms set out in this policy. This document should be read alongside Falcon's general Terms of Service.
Original Content: Broadcasters who create and stream their own original content — including original music, spoken word programmes, original jingles, and self-produced shows — retain full ownership of that content. Falcon claims no ownership over original material produced by our broadcasters.
Falcon Branding: All Falcon Radio branding, logos, platform design, and proprietary software remain the exclusive intellectual property of Falcon. Broadcasters may not reproduce, modify, or commercially exploit Falcon's branding without prior written consent.
Third-Party Content: Any third-party content broadcast through Falcon Radio must be properly licensed by the broadcaster prior to use. Falcon does not grant licences for third-party content and is not responsible for unlicensed use by broadcasters.
Music copyright is one of the most important areas of compliance for any internet radio broadcaster. Playing a commercially released song without the proper licence is a copyright infringement, regardless of whether the broadcast is free or paid.
Performing Rights Organisations (PROs): In most countries, internet radio stations are required to obtain licences from performing rights organisations such as ASCAP, BMI, SESAC (United States), PRS for Music (United Kingdom), or the relevant PRO in Sri Lanka. These licences cover the right to publicly perform musical compositions.
Master Recording Rights: In addition to composition rights, broadcasters must also obtain master recording licences from record labels or distributors when streaming commercially released recordings.
Royalty-Free & Creative Commons Music: Broadcasters may freely use music that is explicitly licensed under Creative Commons (CC0, CC BY, CC BY-SA, etc.) or released as royalty-free, provided the licence terms are followed — such as crediting the artist when required.
Falcon Radio uses Zeno.fm for stream delivery. Broadcasters are solely responsible for ensuring their content complies with all applicable licensing requirements. Falcon accepts no liability for unlicensed music broadcast by third-party station operators.

Falcon respects the intellectual property rights of all creators and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and equivalent international copyright frameworks.
Filing a Takedown Notice: If you believe that content broadcast through Falcon Radio infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to falcon.incoroporated@gmail.com with the subject line "Copyright Takedown Notice". Your notice must include:
Falcon will investigate all valid notices and take appropriate action, which may include removing access to the infringing content and notifying the broadcaster. Repeat infringers will have their broadcasting privileges permanently revoked.
Counter-Notices: If you are a broadcaster who believes your content was removed as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notice by contacting us at the same email address with appropriate supporting documentation.
All individuals and organisations broadcasting through Falcon Radio agree to the following responsibilities:
Broadcasters are solely and fully responsible for the content they stream. Falcon acts only as a platform provider and does not pre-screen or monitor live broadcasts in real time.
As a Falcon Radio listener, you have the right to:
Listeners may not record, re-broadcast, or redistribute any content from Falcon Radio streams without the express written permission of both Falcon and the relevant content rights holders.
Falcon reserves the right to take any of the following actions in response to policy violations, depending on the severity and frequency of the infringement:
Falcon reserves the right to update or modify this Content & Copyright Policy at any time. When changes are made, we will update the "Last Revised" date at the top of this document. Significant changes may also be communicated to active broadcasters via email.
Continued use of the Falcon Radio platform after any policy update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage all broadcasters and listeners to review this policy periodically.
